" THE MOOCREW! "

MOOS OF THE WEEK!!

During the week beginning Monday 29th April, the boys, girls and the staff of Clara NS celebrated NATIONAL DAIRY WEEK.

Mrs Beeton's room was the display and laboratory room for all things DAIRY! There was cheese, yoghurt and milk to be tasted and boy did some of our pupils get stuck in!

Mr Loughran unfortunately does not like cheese eaten raw, as you can see from the photo, but Mrs Beeton was having none of it and made him sample some. He will probably be off sick for the next few days now!  Thanks Mrs Beeton HA HA

THANK YOU!

A huge thanks to the Monaghan County Co-Op for donating yoghurts to the school for all the children and for the bottles of milk and cream. It was very, very tasty!

Also a huge thank you to the Supervalu in Monaghan for donating lots of different cheeses to the school and to the Supervalu in Aughnacloy who also donated DAIRY products to sample.

THE BENEFITS OF CALCIUM

With the intake of DAIRY products such as milk, yoghurt and cheese, this builds strong bones and strong teeth as well as giving lots of energy to run around and to concentrate on doing work in school and at home.

The benefits are enormous for a healthy diet and DAIRY products have a very important role in your child's development.

As the saying goes,

" them bones, them bones need, CALCIUM. "

Thanks to Mrs Beeton for organising the NATIONAL DAIRY WEEK and to the staff and pupils for their participation. We all hope there is an - UDDER DAIRY week next year!
